Tignons- Band of Angels

I always look forward to information on this because I have such an active following relative to this subject. The movie that surprised me to find more info wa my favorite, Band of Angels with Clark Gable from a Book by the same name. gable plays an x-Slave trader become slave plantation owner who is decent.
His mullato concubine wears a Tignon.
His new woman bought from Kentucky plantation never wears one!

Fraternity fraternal to whom within the church? I guess themselves!

FROM MLK DRUM MAJOR INSTINCT

And then the final great tragedy of the distorted personality is the fact that when one fails to harness this instinct, (Glory to God) he ends up trying to push others down in order to push himself up. (Amen) And whenever you do that, you engage in some of the most vicious activities. You will spread evil, vicious, lying gossip on people, because you are trying to pull them down in order to push yourself up. (Make it plain) And the great issue of life is to harness the drum major instinct.
Now the other problem is, when you don't harness the drum major instinct—this uncontrolled aspect of it—is that it leads to snobbish exclusivism. It leads to snobbish exclusivism. (Make it plain) And you know, this is the danger of social clubs and fraternities—I'm in a fraternity; I'm in two or three—for sororities and all of these, I'm not talking against them. I'm saying it's the danger. The danger is that they can become forces of classism and exclusivism where somehow you get a degree of satisfaction because you are in something exclusive. And that's fulfilling something, you know—that I'm in this fraternity, and it's the best fraternity in the world, and everybody can't get in this fraternity. So it ends up, you know, a very exclusive kind of thing. And you know, that can happen with the church; I know churches get in that bind sometimes. (Amen, Make it plain) I've been to churches, you know, and they say, "We have so many doctors, and so many school teachers, and so many lawyers, and so many businessmen in our church." And that's fine, because doctors need to go to church, and lawyers, and businessmen, teachers—they ought to be in church. But they say that—even the preacher sometimes will go all through that—they say that as if the other people don't count. (Amen)

Lithium Pricing ..HMMMMM

As to availability, first I went to http://www.wikipedia.org/ and looked up the word Lithium. It states that "...It forms a minor part of almost all igneous rocks and is also found in many natural brines. Lithium is the thirty-first most abundant element... The Earth's crust contains 65 parts per million of lithium." Apparently there is plenty of lithium on this planet.
However, there is still something that we should be aware of, and maybe even be concerned about. That is, the lithium market is characterized by a high degree of consolidation. This is another way of saying that production and prices are subject to control by a very few large multinational corporations. Reminds me of DeBeers controlling the diamond market.
Three major producers represent a large part of the world's lithium mineral output. SQM and SCL (part of Chemetall) control the supply of lithium carbonate to a great extent, while Chemetall of Germany and FMC of the USA dominate the manufacture of lithium metal and chemicals. This information was gleamed from the U.S. Geological Survey Minerals Yearbook - 2004. (http://minerals.usgs.gov/minerals/pubs/commodity/lithium/), and Roskill Metals and Minerals Reports (http://www.roskill.com/reports/lithium/contents).
The USGS Yearbook states that "Production and stock data (of lithium) were withheld from publication to avoid disclosing company proprietary data". As a side note, the US Government stockpile of lithium is: None.
This Yearbook also states that "... It has become difficult to obtain reliable price information from companies or trade publications. Companies may announce price hikes, but they are reported relative only to previous prices. Producers negotiate with consumers on an individual basis; price information is not usually reported." (Why the secrecy???) and "Customs values for lithium carbonate imports to the United States are a good inidication of the trends in lithium pricing, although they have never exactly reflected the producers' prices for lithium carbonate. In 2004, the average customs unit value for imported lithium carbonate was $1.72 per kilogram, about 11% higher than in 2003." Lithium at $1.72 kg equals $3.79 lb.
Per the Metals Chart at www.infomine.com/, the two year (March 1, 2004 to March 1, 2006) price ranges are for: Lead US$.32 to $.66 lb, Silver (it is used in lead-acid batteries) $66.00 to $119.00 lb, Copper $1.24 to $2.27 lb, and Nickel $4.80 to $8.10 lb. For comparison purposes, find out how much of each metal is used in each battery, then you can get a rough idea of the raw material cost that goes into each battery.

A Blast from the past

Similar to previously expressed theories, the development of a cure for a disease must start with a theory of what are the particulates of that disease's etiology. Then things can be taken apart and then "fixed". We need not have to wait to fix the end = disease.

The alternative exists in the thing broken being unaltered in the first place by the avoidance of the thing that broke it. Oil and its by-products are by and far the biggest things to avoid. Yet this is not the total answer to the genetic disease problem in Huntington's Chorea (HC) and Parkinsonism (P) .

Let us look at an "old " article from NEUROPEPTIDES from 1991 (volume18 page 69-73, as an illustration. In this article a thing (SP= substance P) involved intimately with inflammation had been found elevated in the fluid surrounding the brain (CSF= cerebro-spinal fluid), in patients with the aforementioned diseases. If that substance , or the product of its action could be arrested the disease could be avoided in the population at risk.

This could be done in utero also avoiding the need of stem cell
researched products and allowing for natural gene expression and normalacy of life and its functions. This is what I mean by believing one needs a change of clothing. Why buy clothes when God gives them to you. They just need to be cleaned and kept unsoiled - comprende???

Oil for profit, but at what cost?

Nigeria seeks to end 'blood oil'

Stealing crude oil requires government cover, activists say
An international cartel of oil smugglers steals billions of dollars in "blood oil" from Nigeria, trading it for guns, the president has said.
Speaking at the G8 summit in Japan, President Umaru Yar'Adua drew comparisons between oil "bunkering" and the trade in "blood diamonds".
He said an international effort must be made to stop the trade, which fuelled unrest in the Niger Delta.
The conflict means Nigeria is no longer Africa's largest oil exporter.
Militant attacks in the Delta have reduced production by around a quarter, allowing Angola to overtake Nigeria.
But no-one really knows exactly how much oil is pumped out of the ground, according to a Senate inquiry set up in March.
The smuggling cartel includes officials at the Nigerian state oil company, government, the military and international oil companies, according to Delta activists.
Cheap oil
Trying to stop the trade must be an international effort, the president says, because the people driving the market are companies looking for cheap crude to feed international markets.

Elusive peace in Nigeria's oil Delta
"Stolen crude should be treated like stolen diamonds because they both generate blood money," President Yar'Adua said.
"Like what is now known as 'blood diamonds', stolen crude also aids corruption, violence and can provoke war."
The trade in diamonds helped fuel the conflicts in Sierra Leone and Angola, prompting campaigners to put pressure on the industry to tighten regulations.
A Rivers State government spokesman told the BBC it was time to crack down on the international members of the cartel.
"Some smart alec comes to Nigeria with a vessel partly loaded with guns, partly with cash," said Ogbonna Nwuke.
"In return, he gets cheap oil and delivers the weapons to some boys who think they're fighting the Niger Delta cause."
"The result is confusion."
Tankers
But activists in the Delta say there is no way oil smuggling could be done without the compliance of corrupt elements of the Nigerian state.
"I have never seen this bunkering business as an illegal thing," says Anyakwee Nsirimovu, a Port Harcourt-based human rights lawyer.
"For God's sake, the waters around Nigeria are not a free area, where you can just pass without anyone asking any questions."
In order for tankers to dock and receive oil from boats coming from the creeks, there must be a high level of involvement from government and the military, he says.
"They are making billions of dollars and they don't want this thing to end."

Gluttony can lead to death. Please do not say " I ate enough to kill me" Is this Biblical?

Thought for provoking

Just a thought for provoking

Jazz is not of this world. Well yes it was originally as it was being developed in its immature infancy and while under its initial oppression of the state and in the whorehouse. But now as an art form, the test in these last days is whether Jezebel likes it or not. If she does not like it , it is not of the world. He/She can not work her magic on the Johns or Johnettes who are thinking with the right brain and listening to jazz. If Jezebel does not like it, there is a sort of lack of a second (as in Robert's Rules of Order). There I go getting political again talking about religious people. This is why there is no desire for Blue Grass either (jazz also) with all that good pickin' goin' on.Neither the watchdog nor the watchman as musician in the pew can afford to play the animal that sticks its head in the sand to prevent the enemy from advancing. The enemy is in us. Our lusts, and desires and pride. The world and self is anti family and anti-creation period. Not only ant-jazz which is creative. There should be a clarion call to arms against self with prayer. There should be prayer for anyone who is suspected of showing a noose having read the Turner Dairies. Yet we need to read the Turner Diaries, and know that these are the last days. This is just one of the many misinterpretations of a person who does not love himself. Ther reason why I know is that I have had a first cousin to these insecurities. We need to pray for self and the sick-Ohs, and thank God that accept by grace go I.Another problem is that it (jazz) does not have a place to lay its head, rest, recuperate, rehearse, reiterate, run or relax outside of clubs that sell liquor. The consequence of this fact is grave and foreboding if you do not have faith. It is not like we can go to Jones Hall once a week and play it or listen to it. It is only because of racism and self-hatred that we are not allowed a legitimate home... in America! Yet the daily reprieve of a few places like Walker's Fine Foods, has does and will allow for the proliferation of the idiom.Thank God for those Walker brothers and for any parent that teaches their progeny the true history with LPs , pictures, movies or whatever to prevent self-hatred. If not a part of us as Americans dies.

Clin J Am Soc Nephrol 3: 691-698, 2008Endothelial Dysfunction in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Results from Advanced Glycation End Products (AGE)-Mediated Inhibition of Endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase through RAGE ActivationEllena Linden*, Weijing Cai , John C. Phone: 212-241-1887; Fax: 212-369-9339; E-mail: jaime.uribarri@mssm.edu Background and objectives: Advanced glycation end products, known pro-inflammatory and pro-oxidative compounds that accumulate in patients with chronic kidney disease, may play a major role in their high prevalence of endothelial dysfunction and subsequent cardiovascular disease. This study examined the association of advanced glycation end product accumulation with cellular receptor for advanced glycation end product expression and endothelial dysfunction as well as the mechanisms of this association in chronic kidney disease. Design, setting, participants, & measurements: A cross-sectional study was conducted of ambulatory patients without diabetes and with different stages of chronic kidney disease (n = 51), compared with gender- and age-matched healthy subjects. Fasting blood was obtained for measurement of advanced glycation end products and mRNA receptor for advanced glycation end product expression in peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Endothelial reactivity was assessed by the microcirculatory response to local ischemia (postocclusive reactive hyperemia) and local hyperthermia (thermal hyperemia). Sera were pooled and passed through affinity columns to separate advanced glycation end product–rich fractions, which were incubated with human aortic endothelial cells, with or without blockade of receptor for advanced glycation end product, to measure their effect on endothelial nitric oxide synthase. Results: Glomerular filtration rate correlated with serum advanced glycation end product, mRNA receptor for advanced glycation end product levels, postocclusive reactive hyperemia, and thermal hyperemia. Serum advanced glycation end product correlated with receptor for advanced glycation end product and inversely with postocclusive reactive hyperemia. Advanced glycation end product–rich fractions from chronic kidney disease sera suppressed endothelial nitric oxide synthase expression of human aortic endothelial cells compared with sera from healthy subjects, an effect abrogated by receptor for advanced glycation end product blockade. Conclusions: This study demonstrates for the first time an association of excess advanced glycation end product burden with increased peripheral blood mononuclear cell mRNA receptor for advanced glycation end product and in vivo endothelial dysfunction in patients with chronic kidney disease.
